This section contains observation notes and reports about SMC objects . Ultimately the notes will link to the objects on the charts, as well as images of them in the Images section and to articles about them on the web.

As there are so many objects to process, in the interim I have posted a PDF file of my own observations to date and links to reports on SMC objects by other observers. PDF files of observations by other observers can be found by clicking the links below.

Notes on individual objects with links to the charts, DSS images and any relevant web links are now available for Chart 1.

Unless otherwise specified, all my observations are made using a 410mm (16") Newtonian reflector under the dark skies of my rural home.

If you have observation reports on SMC objects that you would be willing to have posted on this site, please email  me ( [email protected] ) as I would like to have reports from as diverse an array of observers, telescopes and conditions as possible.
